PLACENTA BAG is a project of designing a bag of possible. This Bag (handbag, backpack, shoulderbag) would combine qualities of art object and designed useful feature. It is meant to be used on every day basis.
This object is thought for transforming everyday experience of exhaustion of self in condition of intense precarious and cognitive work, both repetitive pattern of behaviour and thinking, but also constant challenge of mental and social invention.
Placenta Bag is to be carried with you like a bag you usually use to carry objects in. It is a home for nomadic life. It is a rethinking of bag as a concept, it is rethinking of every day object, it is rethinking of every day. You can still though carry your every day objects in it. Beside bag itself there will be applications in addition to your objects (pen, notebook, lunch bag, book, diary, phone, laptop). I call them Placenta Bugs. They will allow bringing unexpected possibility to the daily objects, new utility, new or different viewpoint.
The dream behind it is to have “First Aid “of potential field with you, reservoir of unlimited to be carried everywhere. A little exciting, a little normal, a little scary.
